RVC Annual Awards

RVC annual awards are presented to members at the end of each playing year:

- Most Valuable Player (MVP) 

This is voted on by players at the end of each game throughout a given season. This process is not compulsory. The Committee will keep a record of votes and the title will be awarded to the player with the most votes at the end of the season. There will be one MVP awarded for each participating team. MVPs will have the opportunity to have "MVP (YEAR)" embroidered on a piece of owned RVC merchandise at RVC expense.


- Junior Club Person of the Year (new award in 2023)

Awarded to an RVC junior member who has contributed both on and off the court. This person encapsulates the RVC Values and sets a great example in sportsmanship and contribution towards the Club. With their success both in competition, training and social aspects of the Club, the Junior Club Person of the Year is a credit to the the Royals Volleyball Club and is building the foundation for the future of RVC.

Perpetual trophy - Nominated by members - Decided by committee

- Club Person of the Year

Awarded to an RVC member who has contributed both on and off the court. This person encapsulates the RVC Values and sets a great example of leadership and sportsmanship. With their success both in competition, training and social aspects of the Club, the Club Person of the Year is a credit to the the Royals Volleyball Club.

Perpetual trophy - Nominated by members - Decided by committee


- Coaches' Award

Awarded to the player who puts their team first and strives to encourage their team to excel. This player gives 100% every time they train and represent Royals Volleyball Club. This recipient leads their team by example and demonstrates the values of the Royals Volleyball Club.

2 Trophies - 1 Male, 1 Female - Perpetual trophy - Decided by respective head coach


- Rising Star Award

Awarded to an RVC player who has been dedicated to improving their personal performance and skill throughout the year. The recipient has been identified as a player most likely to progress to a higher division in their next season whilst demonstrating RVC Values on and off the court..

2 Trophies - 1 Male, 1 Female - Perpetual trophy - Nominated by Open League coaches and managers - Decided by coaching executive


- The Academy Award

This award is for the best Royals Volleyball Academy member. This junior player gives everything at training and goes the extra mile to grow and build their skills as a player.

2 Trophies - 1 Male, 1 Female - Perpetual trophy - Decided by Academy head coach


- Volunteer of the Year Award

Awarded to a Royals Volleyball Club member who has donated considerable time and energy to the Club off the court. For example: Coaching, committee duties, game day and/or training duties or assisting in fundraising or social activities within the Club.

Perpetual trophy - Nominated by members - Decided by Committee 


- Community Award

Awarded to an RVC member who has excelled outside of Royals Volleyball Club. This person personifies the RVC value of "Community" and has excelled in giving to the wider community. This recipient's activities within the wider community may include things like fundraising for a charity, donating time to help those less fortunate or volunteering for a charitable organisation.

- Celebrating Caps

Caps will be celebrated in 50 game increments within regular VACT seasons for all VACT competitions. Committee will keep track of games played from weekly scoresheets.

Number of games will be embroidered on the players choice of (already owned) RVC merchandise at RVC expense.
